Stress is a natural feeling of not being able to cope up with specific demands and events. It affects everyone from time to time, can be due to financial issues, work pressure or due to strained relationships, pressure at school and so on. It is indeed a threat to an individual’s well-being.

The most common symptom of stress is gastritis, heart burn, indigestion and muscle pain.

Stress can cause eating disorders and thereby many may gain weight due to overeating.

An individual will be depressed, irritated, anxious and will have difficulty in concentrating. Sudden anger, social withdrawal and frequent crying may be few of the symptoms.

The individual will have insomnia, headaches ,the blood sugars levels will be uncontrolled,

Individuals will have higher blood pressure, thereby leading to increase incidence of heart attack and increase chances of stroke.

Stress can cause erectile dysfunction, missed Periods, low sex drive, thereby making it harder to conceive. If seen it affects each and every system of our body and yes it can be controlled with a proper lifestyle, positive thought works wonders and that’s where, meditation plays the role. Meditation can produce a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind. During meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress. This process may result in enhanced physical and emotional well-being.Asanas and breathing exercises plays a vital role in calming the mind and relaxing the body , once an individual learns to remain calm , he can handle stress with ease .
